Friends of the Wild Flower Garden "Student Transportation Grant Program"

Background:

Our program this year, in cooperation with the Minneapolis Parks and Recreation Board (MPRB) is to provide a subsidy for transportation costs of up to $150 from The Friends of the Wild Flower Garden for eligible Minneapolis School Groups to visit the Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden and Bird Sanctuary. To be eligible for funding from The Friends, your school must have a 65% or higher free and reduced lunch population and we will also include classes with a 50% ESL/ELL student population.

Process:

Tours are arranged with MPRB by contacting the Garden Program Coordinator, Lauren Borer, at the Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden The telephone number at the Garden is 612-370-4903 or via email. If your class is eligible for our subsidy, a form for payment will be included in the information packet that the Garden Program Coordinator sends to you when you book the Garden tour. Funds are limited and are available on a first come, first served basis.
